Hello sorry its been a long long time.. I have had a lot of stuff going on.....
*So hereis a recap of April... Stephanie B-H. came to visist on the 5th. It was great, we hung out made cheesie potatoes and then on monday we went out and got tattoo's. Well hers was planned, mine was spure of the moment. Steph got her triquetra that she has been wanting. And I got a nautical star.
*On Good Friday my cousin Amber had a Beautiful baby girl Kira!!
*Easter Sunday Krista and I went to my moms house for dinner. And surprisingly her husband was behaving OK. *that's a shocker for me*
*On April 13 I went to Geauga Lake to process in. Which means drop off paperwork and pee in a cup. But the water was not on so I will have to Pee another day!!
*Tonks turned 2 years old on April 17Th!!! My baby is so big!!!
*Jons birthday was the 28 Th but I didn't get to see him because I'm stuck working 14 days straight.... BLAH!!
****On the plus side we have made all the reservations for vacation this summer. And Neena will be going with us!!! I'm super excited because this is her first vacation. We are going camping. First stop Cape Henlopen Beach DE and Ocean City, MD. Then Duncan Campground, MD. were we will be going to Washington DC to sight see and Visit Chris Sally and baby Spencer. Well this took entirely too long to type so I'm gone for now

Week Update
Its been a while since i have been on here! Last weekend was a fast and crazy one! Saturday morning i work up bright and early!!! Had to pick up Patty & Nathan and then started the long hall to Virgina. This impromptu weekend started because Chris & Sally had a baby shower. They are leaving the USA in August to move to Australia. So i want to see them as much as possible. Sunday was the baby shower. Then Sunday night we went to downtown DC to go to an expensive Pizza place called Matchbox. Chris wanted to go their because he loves the beer they have there. Its called Delirium and it cost 7 dollars a glass. its Belgium beer and one glass equals about 4 American beers. Monday we just hung out till 3pm then headed out to go back home. BUT we kept going in circles!!! SO a 5 hour trip took 7!
Tuesday it was back to work as usual... Since everyone got layed off the few officers we do have now have to work 12 hour shifts. This means i work the first 4 hours of my shift with 3 officers, and the second half with another 3 officers. Its just very confusing half way through the shift i have to do my on duty log! Plus side Mike is going on vactaion so i am getting alot of overtime soon!!

Cryed all day
The time has come. The city has decided.!!
The lay-offs will start effective Sunday.!! Andy and Stephanie's last day were yesterday. Don and Alex's last day is today. And John, Dan, Rick and Chris's last day will be tomorrow.. Plus Betty and Jennifer who are secretary's.
It is very sad to see an adult cry, but in the last few weeks I have seen more than should be, Me included!! I am heart broken to know that these guys that have become my friends will not have an income to feed their family s..
What does the city have to gain from this??? Only the satisfaction that they win!!!! They are pissed that they had to pay the officers the money that was owed to them. So they miraculously have no money to pay us!!!!! THIS IS STUPID!!!! All the while city hall & city counsil do not get anycuts. They keep their raises, or if they do give back it's only pennies so it doesnt realy matter.. Well fine YOU WIN!!!!! does that make you happy? YOU WIN. You sit behind your over priced desk and laugh while good officers loose their jobs.
The only plus side to this is that most of the officers have youth on there side. So it will be possible for them to find a new job, BUT THIS TAKES TIME!!!! bill collectors dont care that you are a good person who was treated like shit. They only care about the money that is owed to them!! And what about the few people who are older?? What will they do go work at Walmart!????
2 months ago I loved my job! And the people I worked with. Now its like a black cloud is perminitly over the department. And any happy feelings I have during the day evaporate when I walk in the door. And then the people who know they are getting lay-ed off still have to come to work and finish the week. I keep geting asked Are you staying?? Well honestly I dont no what I want to do. Im scared of change Im scared that even if I leave to find a new job, that that place may do the same thing. Its all buricratical BULL SHIT!! And its so expensive to move. My family wants me to move to Kentucky and work down there but will it be any better there??? The economy is shit everywere. I ask people what i should do. But they always tell me to do whats best for me! Well to be perfectly honest I dont no whats best for me!!

Neena Jeanette Leigh **A happier blog**

Its 0130 in the morning, Im alone at home drinking my captain & diet coke!!! So im not sure what to write about tonight, but I will attempt to ramble..... So topic of the day. My baby sister.
Neena J. L. Fishburn was born Oct 2 1999. Aunt Susan went into labor the night before which happened to be my Junior homecoming football game. Sat was the homecoming dance, and half way through, my mom came busting in so I could go to the hospital to see my cute little sis!!!
Neena is now 9 years old and she has been in and out of the hospital more times than the average adult. About 6 years ago we were at a family reunion and she was walking a Little too close to the swings. Well her cousin Jon Jon kicked her in the face. He knocked 2 of her teeth out. Three weeks later the left side of her face was swollen shut, one of her teeth had pushed up into her mouth and caused an infection that was going to her brain. we sat in the hospital for a week.
Fast forward to 1st grade she is falling behind because the Teacher said she was Zoning out in class and not paying attention...... 4 doctors later she has been diagnosed with epilepsy, but none of the meds they have put her on have been working! So now she has to have a sleep test every month until they can determine what meds will work.
Now she lives in Kentucky 7 hours away and I only get to see her 2 or 3 times a year. I think that is one of the saddest parts of this new chapter of my life.

Bull Shit
2-6-09
Today the union heads met with the city to try to figure out how to cut back money without having to lay people off. They went into this meeting with multiple ideas, but all the work that they put into researching ideas was for nothing. The city had no plan on listening to us! they have proposed that the police department has to lay off all part time employees all jailers AND 3 full time OFFICERS!!!!!!!! Chris / Stephanie / and John.. This is complete BULL SHIT. This is 9 people who have family's that will be out of work! 2 of them just had baby's! One of those people are my BEST FRIEND she got me this job and you have no idea how this makes me feel. Words do not describe. And the fact that I have to go to work for the next couple weeks and look into the faces of the people i have grow to know and love as friends its disgusting!!

KRISTA'S BIRTHDAY WEEKEND
My little widget is turning turning 23! Im so Proud!!!
Sunday we went out to eat at home town buffet it was packed and we made ourselves sick! *I will have to go to gym everyday this week to make up for it* Then we went to Target and did our traditional event of spending an hour in the shoe dept playing with the shoes we would never buy.. At Walmart I decided to have an impromptu Birthday party for her. I bought a cake, some beer, and a new card game. Called Amber and we trucked over to her house for a little celebration!!! It was a blast I got drunk and didnt have to think about anything for 2 whole days!!!
Monday i met my mom so she could do my taxes, so soon i will have some money to put back in case work cut more people. After that i visited some old co workers at St E's police dept at YSU! pretty much re-establishing old contacts. Krista and I played some cards and watched the breakfast club **a classic**
When i got home i stopped by the station to check my scheduel, and recieved yet another blow. Andy came in and said it is VERY possible that He and Morgan will also be lay-ed off. This made me physicaly SICK I do not want to go to work anymore!! A month ago i love my job but i cannot say that right now. And what is worse!! if this does happen it will put us out FIVE officers short, it will take no time until the city is just as bad as E cleve!!!!
On that i am done for today!!! My apologize to anyone who read this all the way through. My only hope is that very soon these entries will have a happier tone!!

Ok this is my first attempt at this. So im just going to write a small one first.
2009 started out great. I have a wonderful job, a new apartment of my own, and my lovely kitteh Tonks!
Fast forward to Jan, 22 I have been at the Richmond Hts police department for exactly 1 year! I got a nice pay raise and a Retro check for the amount of money I should have made in 2008.
Feb 1st City council has mysteriously run out of money and has to cut 1.7 million dollars by March, and they are planning on doing this by lay-offs!!!!!!!!!! And im on the chopping block to loose my job.
It is now Feb 6th and in the last week I have had an emotional break down, the city is cutting full time non-union employees to 35 hours and since im not in the union until july 7th that can also apply to me. The chief called me to talk private and said this will not apply to me, So now I wait to see if its true. The total outcome of this $$ cut will come out in the next few weeks so I will be back to giv an update.
